R & D Lab
Wayfare Research & Development was established to nurture emerging talent in the field of filmed content creation. R&D consolidates the most promising writers, directors, editors and designers in a creative and collaborative environment to produce feature films, television pilots, marketing and sales materials, advertising concepts, branding strategies, and online content. R&D looks to hone the commercial aspects of creative work and drive projects into production, commissioning scripts and offering camera and editing equipment to members. R&D works with talent agents and film schools to identify talent and runs year-round internship programs at Wayfare.
The first film project financed under the R&D program – Luke Matheny’s GOD OF LOVE – won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short.
